Sokaris' light installation Chrome Heart was selected by the Edmonton Valley Zoo Development Society to be featured during their Zoominescence light festival 2020/21
Concept
Our concept looks at what is important in life, especially during these hard times. Depending on which angle you view the installation from you will see our representation of Family/Community (figures standing together), Life (Abstract shapes), and Love (A heart). It encompasses the theme 'Heart & Soul: Community Resilience by showing the important parts of existence; people, life, and love.
Materials
Upcycled wood frames made by 2X4s painted black. Chrome reflective mylar film cubes with upcycled wood frames. 8x4 Plywood painted black. Fishing line. Upcycled metal hooks. Outdoor LED up-lighting lights.
